Reddit crashed for three hours on Monday after nearly 8,000 subreddits went dark. Users were switching to private or read only mode in protest of the platform's new API fees. But Reddit CEO Steve Huffman wasn't worried and sent out a company-wide memo downplaying the user protest. He claimed that the blackout hasn't had significant revenue impact, and that he anticipates that many subreddit will return by Wednesday.
