Is the Civil Rights Movement a Leaderless Party?
If you want a sustainable movement, you need long-term goals and organization. In the civil rights movement, I would say the authority was burned. The fact that Fred Shuttlesworth or James Bevel or Diane Nash had been there is what really makes an organization work. It's not any legal hierarchy. It's the fact that these people have been there.
