The Importance of Having a Backup Plan
A prudent mariner needs to have a plan if his electronics were to stop. The GPS provides an added benefit of you being able, every day when you take those sightings and reduction tables. I just think it's worth knowing for the sake of it. It is a wonderful thing to learn and enjoy that experience.
