The Effects of High Intensity Exercise on Cardiovascular Disease

There's emerging evidence that high intensity exercise could increase formation of calcium containing plaques in the coronary arteries. An acute bout of high intensity exercise increases your risk of sudden death, but doing it on a repeated basis actually reduces your risk. But if you're going to pick one sport and you're just going to do it, again, it still has to be something you enjoy.
