The KGC's Secret Police Force

Judge Pascal accused the KGC of being a secret police agency, one which establishes a police above the law. He didn't like their functioning as a secret police in Texas and he warned that they would try to compel the state into revolution. After Lincoln's election, the KGC started intimidating people in Texas to get anyone who didn't favor secession to shut up and stay quiet. They also produced literature advocating secession and then held public demonstrations in favor of it.
