The Financial Crisis and Stress Testing
The way that banks are regulated is two-fold. One is risk-weighted capital, and the other is simple leverage ratio. I'm a little less sold on stress testing. There's no reason to think the Federal Reserve or government will fundamentally correctly price an asset better than the market.
