Jacques LeCon was often referred to particularly in the wake of 68 as the stern father who adamantly declared that revolutions always fail. He regularly described himself as not being on the side of the workers and students his heart was not on the barricades he said he was against spontaneousism  and even expressed the fact that he didn't believe that social class existed or that you could formulate coherent sentences with social class. You know there has been an unearned projection of political radicality to what gets marked as French theory and its disciples.
