The Importance of Focusing Away From Time-Based Goals
The longer I was with cycling, the more fluctuation was happening around self-believe. Another kind of fascinating event that's linked to that is the channel swim. We have a time in our minds that we might want to finish this particular event in or we might have a placing in our mind and that kind of do-or-die goal can cause a lot of pressure. Sometimes what happens when we're tired, we tend to like focus inwards on how our body feels. It may be that we're actively distracting ourselves through, you know, seeing a song or looking at the things around us.
