Theosis or Deification

John 17 verse 24: Father I will that they also whom thou has given me be with me where I am. Next week we're going to see this in John 14 when Mary embraces him and he says I have not yet ascended up there. He's basically praying here to his father that his followers will be able to receive his glory but to ritually ascend to the temple in heaven. And then finally his prayers for one of unification. The idea that followers of Christ can become even as he is that they can become divine. That's the purpose of the gospel and it's right here in the great intercessory prayer.
