The Conservative Right's Struggle to Stand a Stride
Some members of the House passed a version of the bill that includes some restrictions on related to abortion in the military. The Senate, which is controlled by Democrats, has its own version of the measure and the two chambers need to negotiate a final bill. So there's a lot of push to get this bill done before the end of the year. But something like this abortion amendment could be enough to really gum up the works at the last minute and potentially sideline it.
