What Was the Asian Financial Crisis?
The Asian financial crisis was caused by speculators, like George Soros's firm had it's not a conspiracy. The US imposed austerity policies on these countries in exchange for bailout money to stabilize their banking systems. And so the what started off as one country's currency crashing and needing emergency foreign currency inflows ended up affecting the entire region.
