The Sensitive Plant
The Sensitive Plant is a species of mimosa pudica. It recoils when touched, and its leaves shrink to protect them from predators. The plant has many different names including the shame-faced or bashful one. "I really love the dew which lies like fire," Percy Grainger writes in his poem.
