The Alomites on Mandalore

Not unlike Westeros or perhaps even Essos, there were sentient bipedal species on Mandalore before the people who eventually became known as the Mandalorian settled there. The Alomites are human-sized, four eyes, four nostrils, and some number of tusks. In fact, they're said to eat humans. That said, though, not all Mandalorians are human. And human has a much broader meaning in the Star Wars universe anyway. I do think it is more space fantasy than sci-fi. Science and the workings of technology aren't really a big part of the stories.
