The Importance of Succession Culture
How important can the culture of where you live or operate be to discussions around succession? The time is critical. I believe that very often family businesses failed because the person that was designated to be the heir of the business in reality didn't cover the role truly. Sometimes this happens not because was the plan but just because something unexpected happened and this person had the courage obviously to take on the role which were early and unfortunately failed.
