Do Bacteria Kill More People Than Virals?
Do bacteria kill more people than viruses? I've never looked at it that way. But resistant bacteria, for instance, cholera in Bangladesh, things like that, when they have outbreaks, kill dramatically. So yes, they can kill a lot of people. And if you look at the data of that 2019 study in Africa, that's where most of the deaths from drug resistance happen. And it's tragic. One out of five children under the age of five in Sub-Saharan Africa, dying of a drug-resistant bacterial infection.
