I'm Not Going to Be Able to Transfer Phones by Yourself Ever Again
Verizon, AT&T are blocking access to their 5G network if the phone is not on their allow list. It also means that you're never going to be able to transfer phones by yourself ever again. The idea that in two years, I'm going to have to like call Verizon or T-Mobile depending on which SIM card I'm changing is like headache inducing. But it speaks to the broader difficulties beyond e-SIM that carriers are just trying to assert control again.
