Is There a Difference Between Sleep Loss and Cognitive Loss?

There's a discrepancy between what people feel and what is objectively true sometimes. People felt like with repeated nights of sleep loss, the performance initially degraded, but then it plateaued at a lower level. Objectively, people's performance actually just carried on getting worse during that time. And one other new anse to this is just that sleep los affects different people very differently. It could be that for you, seem your attention is negatively affected, but you managed to retain your working memory whereas for somebody else the opposite might be true.
