The Russian army, like other modern armies, does also have engineers with specialist demying equipment. We've seen reports that they've been ditched and we've also seen videos where a tank equipped with one of these rollers actually hits a mine and gets blown up itself. So they may very well have reason not to trust those. The more concerning thing is will the Ukrainian forces be able to break through Russian minefields when it's their turn to launch a counter offensive?
