Turkey and Syria and Assad and Erdogan

It sounds like this is going to be resolved by Turkey making a move to resolve things with Assad and come to some sort of agreement. For the US for political reasons inertia is the kind of goal keeping things as they are and hoping something better I mean for America the ideal situation is Assad somehow has to leave office and then they get to declare some kind of victory and then forget about it like Libya or something but like it sounds to me like the most likely scenario is the one you develop which is that kind of rapprochement between Turkey and Syria and Assad and Erdogan does that sound right?
