The Importance of Positive Emotions in Relationships

Paul started CFT after noticing that positive emotion was either blocked or actually made some of his clients feel worse. The presence of negative things in your past, abuse, criticism, rejection, hostility, physical harm, that's not the same as a lack of affection, kindness and care. If you come from a background in which I am beaten, I am physically harmed, I'm abused, I'm criticized and rejected by my parents, but I am also at times hugged, kissed and told that I'm loved, so can you see I could have both those things there?
