Is There a Difference Between Preloading and Co-Loading?

When you do a spinal or an epidural and the patient gets very hypotensive it's certainly something we see commonly. What's best practice for treating that? We always I was taught in residency circa 2005 to 2008 that the patient needed to be preloaded, he says. That thinking has kind of gone by the wayside with the concept of co-loading but when you start looking at what's the evidence there really is no statistical significant difference between preloading and co-loading so it really is kind of dealer's choice what you want to do now.
