The Story of the Coasters
After success of Searchin' and Young Blood, Atco released a series of flop singles. Leon Hughes and Bobby Nunn were out of the group suddenly. They either got tired of the road and wanted to see their families or they were sacked mid-tour because of their behaviour. For one recording session, Tommy Evans from the Drifters substituted for Hughes and Nunn,. Cornell Gunter and Dub Jones came in as replacement members. Despite what some people have said, Jung-Jessie never became a full-time member of the Coasters. He did later tour with a group calling itself the Coasters, led by Leon Hughes. The original lineup of the group continued touring
