What Is a Perfect Fifth?
A perfect fifth is a type of interval, intervals, of which so far we have named two. So the interval between a and e is called a perfect fifth. The knots belong together because they are factually together out there in vibrations of the physical world. They are together. When we play a and e flap, rather than a and e, we still have a fifth. But this one sounds anything but right. It's a more complicated sounding interval, even without context,. tending towards the dark and unknown, or uncomfortable. And that'sb s even though we're playing this interval with no musical context.
