Is Structured Analytic Technique a Good Idea?

There was a lot of emphasis on structured analytic techniques, which i cannot think of a more wonkeer phrase than that. One of my favorite analytic techniques is to take a walk outside with one of my favorite sparrig partners, colleagues, to just air out my ideas. It seems like quoonquot best practices, asking for a static, stale organization, thes doesn't rigt gravely, right? Right? Right? Why?
