Lynch has always played up certain aspects of his persona and in a way to make himself a similar kind of rock star driven, or tour as you describe. His whole identity is this middle American man who's born in Montana and who lived in Idaho and Washington. But he also just seems like kind of a goof sometimes,. He's got a kind of silly affect, you know, he's in on the joke, but not completely.
