Microsoft Announces Majorana Zero Modes for Quasi Particles

Microsoft has announced that they have produced what are called Majorana or Majorana Zero modes. These quasi particles act as their own anti particle and have a charge and an energy that equates to zero. This makes them resilient to disturbances, which could make unprecedentedly reliable qubits.
