How Do You Choose Horizons?

Financial services is one of those areas where people always have an implicit assumption as to the horizon of their commentary. The way i like to think about it is asking what who what's going to happen to the forecast and how decisions will be taken on the basis of the forecast. If you're if you're making a different decision then you need to think about well what horizon is going to be used in forming that decision.
