The Father of Modern India
India never had a concept of India as a nation. No Indian called himself an Indian. The modern idea of nation comes from the Bible and it entered the European mind in 1648 through the Peace of Westphalia. All of these ideas, William Carrying whom I'm calling the father of modern India, he is the first person as an English missionary. He starts a newspaper which is called the Friend of India. Merchants have come to loot Indians. So no Indian scripture or literature ever talked about India. It never talked about nation or country. And that's why our national anthem excludes Kashmir as part of India because the geography,. so India never had the concept of geography, country.
