The Writers Guild Strike
The Writers Guild is a much smaller union than many of the other guilds. Getting all of them to agree to something is very difficult because their needs and their work is so different. Hollywood made a lot of really amazing movies in the 1950s that were very anti-TV. There's some pretty amazingly hilarious stories about what Warner Brothers did during this time.
