Cicero's Self-Praise

Plutarch says Cicero's self-praise evoked no envy, whereas Scipio Afrikanis' did. The Romans were annoyed with Cicero for frequently vaunting his success in rooting out and stopping the conspiracy of Catalan. So Plutarch's point here is that there are some cases where it's allowed and even incourgible to praise yourself.
