China's Farmland Will Be Up for Grabs

Some reports indicate that 40% of farmland here in the US will be transferred to new ownership over the next couple of decades due to an expected mass retirement from farmers. There are about a dozen or so states that have restrictions on foreign ownership, but a lot of this land will be up for grabs and that includes for China. Now is this something that lawmakers are actively discussing in Congress? It's actually somewhat of a bipartisan concern.
