The Fundamental Idea of Space Travel

Lewis was interested in the spiritual ramifications of going to another planet. He said that often aliens are portrayed either as monstrous creatures who can wipe us out and think enders game or these servile creatures who we can take over. And Lewis goes and he meets creatures very much like ourselves. So he's interested in thespiritual ramifications of what would happen during space travel. That dichotomy, that theme of worldview is going to be important in this book.
