The future historians are going to have a field day with the psychosis of the present. Ancestry is naturally very important and it has an emotional impact on our lives. When you and I go to centre taff, we're moved by that as human beings but also because we have an ancestral stake in what that symbol memorializes. Whereas if we were to go to some memorial for the Chinese who suffered in the rape of Nan King, again, of course, as human beings, we'd be moved by that.
