How Did It Come to Bing?

In 2010, the head teacher at Bing's school asked teachers to get involved in a new thinking curriculum for year seven students. The idea came from an email that was sent out by the then-new headteacher who had only been there one year. At the same time as I was just finishing my masters, which was in person-centered education, but my dissertation was about philosophy for children. And so I thought, well, we can put together something really interesting here. We can take a number of areas of evidence-based practice and put them together into this package. It could do something radically different within a mainstream state school.
