The H3 Grid System and the Knowledge Graph
H3 is a hexagonal grid system representing every segment on the earth. The centroid of a hexagon is equidistant from all its neighbors. This leads to some interesting properties from an indexing of data perspective. It also makes it more compact for algorithms involving traversal.
