The supplement industry is just using any old random oils and calling it fish oil because it's unregulated. Avocado oil and peanut oil have a higher smoke point, especially if you are going to cook at a higher temperature. The biggest problem with oils like olive oil has a low smoke point. If you heat it too much, you get more trans fats.
