The Paradox of Egalitarianism
I think that there's an interesting paradox with modern society and privilege, because to a certain extent, if we were to acknowledge no bless Obliet, that kind of also suggests that those that we are obligated to serve or help are less educated or resource than us. So maybe we can't help them because how dare we? Like, who are we to help them? Or impose our values on them? I'm all for seeing your privileges as being an important thing that you should use to do good. And one of my favorite books is probably a relatively obscure book called policy paradox by Deborah Stone.
