The Wisdom of Abu'i'r'A
The city of Medina generally has the cleanest and most reliable hadith culture. It also was a hub of knowledge in early Muslim history. Abu'i'r'a's residence in Asufa meant that he had constant exposure to Prophet Muhammad's Al-A'r', says Faisal al-Bukh-Taw. He wanted the outskirts of Medina to be occupied and to not be empty, leaving Medina vulnerable.
