In posterior circulation stroke, actually the most common cause is embolic. So cardioembolic, that patient with untreated atrial fibrillation and acute onset posterior circulation symptoms. One of the reasons posterior circulation strokes are difficult to diagnose on initial presentation is because the symptoms can be subtle and vague.
