Chronos and the Furies

When Oranos was castrated, several very opposite creatures were born. From the mixture of his genitals and sea foam, when it fell into the sea, Aphrodite springs forth. The Furies' goals are to protect family members, marriage and love but Aphrodite causes more trouble than any other divinity. So in a sense, vengeful passion is not so different from criminal passion.
