The Shared Measure of Allah's Mercy
The shared measure or commonality is only a conceptual notion in the mind and has no extra mental reality. So when we say that God is merciful and there are humans were merciful, the prophet was merciful, this esterarch participation in this meaning is only in the mind. Outside the mind there is no participation whatsoever because there is neither forms that in here in the different particulars,. There is neither a form that's called mercy or a universal that has a real ontological existence as away from the particulars. And then it applied to all of those particulars.
