Altruistic Groups Beats Selfish Individuals

E.O. Wilson and David Sloan-Wilsen famously said in 2010 that selfishness beats altruism within groups. The problem is you have a free rider issue a collective action problem inside a group of altruists, he says. That vulnerability means we shouldn't see these altruistic groups because they are vulnerable to this automatic kind of exploitation. And so anyway we will sort this out hopefully in March with the two Wilsons.
