The Unity of Perception Is More Than Just Raw Data
i agree with both of you, even though you seem to be contradicting each other. So i agree with west that this brings up the concept of identity. And that's actually kind of one of the strange things as that up an to this point, identity has not been part of the ment. It's all been about trying to establish some indubitable fact. The point is that we don't sense the unity of the object. In other words, perception is more than just raw sense data. Sure have to be organ there are higher cognitive functions of judgment which provide that unity.
