Mastodon Makes Community Building More Difficult
There is no reason for black Twitter to migrate to mastodon and endure things like Elon Musk all the time. There's also the case that the the whiteness of mastodon is felt effectively, it is recognized as a sense of a space right. If these norms police users who don't use the affordances appropriately then users will be disincentivized from exploring unique ways to use these affordances right. And so the things that that mastodon makes more difficult is actually forming community.
