Using Keywords in Organizational Mechanisms

Tiago Forte wrote a fantastic article about this where he talks about contextual tagging. Keywords should always be assigned with an eye towards the topics you're working on or interested in, never by looking at an isolation. And I realized why that was so important because topics are infinite. There's just no end to it. You can add tags to somehow make it easier to find them again but that doesn't really require cognitive effort. The moment you have to connect it with existing knowledge or put it in the place you think you will need it, you suddenly feel the need to put effort into it. If it doesn't feel like you need effort, you probably do it right.
