Is There a Variety Within Christianity?

How do you explain the variety of kinds of Christianity that exists in the world? I had the privilege of preaching at a friend's memorial service recently. People came and they gave eulogy and that they talked about this person who they knew. And it became clear to me, yes, they were all talking about the same person, but each of them had fixed on to a different aspect. This is what was really important about this person for them. There are many forms Christianity which take delight in the transformation of our experience.
