The Life and Times of a Mathematics Major

mathematics comes in purely by accident and it's really another instance of making a friend and the distance that be a lifelong love. So what happened and this is a story that has been told elsewhere but each time you know I have several versions of a story and each time I tell a different version. So might as well. In fact to this day I'm no longer professional of course and I don't devote much time but it's I like this. And I also worked a lot in classical Chinese which goes back quite well.So where is mathematics at this point?
