SNCC and the Blacks

During the 64th summer voter registration drives preceding that year's November election, a split began to develop within SNCC. Malcolm X had almost as much venom reserved for white liberals who called themselves allies as he did for northern police and southern sheriffs. The experience of 1964 left Stokely Carmichael,. many of the black activists in SNCC, very resentful and suspicious of the white activists.
