Exodus 32 - Is the Lord Relented?

Moses, the author of this passage reminds us that these tablets were written on both sides by the very finger of God. And so for 17, he encounters Joshua and Joshua says, I think there's a noise of war in the camp. Moses, having heard from the Lord, recognizes that this isn't war, but this is the sound of singing and dancing. So it shows their utter inability to keep this covenant that they have made with the Lord.
