The Tragic Cast of the World, Right?

I think collective pronouns, in some senses, mutilate individuality often in ways that are quite hurtful for both morality and creativity. What makes modern tribalism really, you know, extraordinary is modern democracy raises the question who constitutes the people. And again, the tragic cost of the world, that unless you believe in a universal community, a form organized under a single political form, inclusion and exclusion will remain at the heart of democracy. Modern states require taxation, deforms of taxation. They literally reconstitute us in every single way from kind of health care, education, pastoral care,. So to generate the kinds of resources requires very different forms of solidarity.
